How do I track material costs in Homeezy?

Add a price to every option in a material selection. When you send the selection and the client approves their picks, you have a clear, approved record of which materials were chosen and at what cost — for every project, all in the Materials area. From there you can roll the approved choices into a quote or invoice.

Pricing options inside selections keeps material costs honest and on the record. The client picks with the price in front of them, and you avoid the awkward "that wasn't the price we agreed on" conversation down the line.

Keep material costs clear

  • Price every option — enter the cost on each option so the client compares both look and price.
  • Recommend a pick — flag your recommended option so the client sees your steer.
  • Use the approved record — once approved, the chosen materials and prices are logged on the selection.
  • Carry it into a quote or invoice — turn the approved selection into billable line items.

Review what was chosen

  1. 1
    Open the Materials list

Go to Materials to see every selection across your projects, filterable by status and project.

  2. 2
    Open an accepted selection

Click a selection marked Accepted to see the approved options and their prices.

  3. 3
    Bill from the approved choices

Use the approved costs as the basis for the project's quote or invoice so what you bill matches what the client picked.

Filter the Materials list by project to total up the approved material costs for a single job before you build its invoice.

On each option in the selection builder. Add the price alongside the name, photo, and product link.

No. Selections capture the client's approved choices and costs; you then build a quote or invoice from those numbers.

Yes. Filter the Materials list by that project to see its selections and approved options.
