Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Homeezy ("we", "us") collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to homeezy.com and the Homeezy platform.

1. Information we collect

Account & profile: name, email, phone, password, and—for Pros—business name, license number, insurance carrier, services, service areas, and portfolio.
Project data: project descriptions, photos, quotes, contracts, invoices, messages, and tasks you create.
Payment data: processed by Stripe. We receive limited details (such as transaction status and the last four digits of a card); we do not store full card numbers.
Usage & device data: log data, IP address, browser, and cookie identifiers (see our Cookie Policy).

2. How we use your information

To operate the platform; create and maintain your account; match Homeowners with Pros; process subscriptions and project payments; send transactional and service emails; provide support; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with legal obligations; and improve our services.

3. How we share your information

Between users: when a Homeowner and a Pro connect, relevant profile and project information is shared between them to carry out the project. Pro public profiles are visible to anyone.
Service providers: we use trusted processors to run Homeezy, including Stripe (payments), Supabase (database, authentication, storage), Resend (email), and Vercel/Railway (hosting). They process data only on our instructions.
Legal & safety: we may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect rights and safety.
We do not sell your personal information.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, and analytics. See our Cookie Policy for details and choices.

5. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under Quebec's Law 25, Canada's PIPEDA, the EU/UK GDPR, and the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email hello@homeezy.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards—encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers—to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International transfers

Homeezy is operated from Canada and uses service providers that may process data in Canada, the United States, and elsewhere. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

9. Children

Homeezy is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, communicated by email.
