Import an existing project
Bring an ongoing or finished job into Homeezy, attach the client, and upload its existing contract and quote.
How do I import an existing project into Homeezy?
Use the same Add project wizard you'd use for a new job — from Projects, click Add project. On the status step, choose Ongoing to mark work as already underway, then upload your existing contract and quote PDFs so the whole job lives in Homeezy from day one.
Importing is how you move work you've already started — or even finished — into Homeezy without rebuilding it. Attach the client, drop in the documents you already have, and pick up managing the job from where it actually is.
Import a project step by step
- 1Open the Add project wizard
From Projects, click Add project.
- 2Fill in the project details
Add the name, service, address, and a description. If you already know the work dates, set the start and end here.
- 3Attach the client
Pick an existing contact or add the homeowner as a new client. You can send them an invite, or skip the client to import a blank project.
- 4Choose Ongoing and upload documents
On the status step, choose Ongoing. Upload the existing contract and quote PDFs (each optional), then click Create project.
Contract and quote uploads only appear when the status is set to Ongoing and a client is attached. For a not-started or blank import, you can add those documents later from the project's Documents tab.
Yes. Import it as Ongoing and upload its contract and quote — the job and its documents stay in Homeezy even after the work is complete.
PDF files. Choose the existing contract and quote PDFs on the final step of the wizard.
Yes. Skip the client step to create a blank imported project, then attach a contact whenever you're ready.
