How do I edit a project's details?

Open the project from Projects and stay on the Details tab. In the About this project card, click Edit to change the description, then click Save. You can also add or remove project photos, view the job location on the map, and set the schedule — all from the same Details tab.

The Details tab is the at-a-glance summary of the job: what it is, where it is, when it's happening, and the photos that go with it. Keeping it current means anyone who opens the project — including you, weeks later — sees the right scope immediately.

Edit the project description

  1. 1
    Open the project

From Projects, click the project row to open its workspace on the Details tab.

  2. 2
Click Edit on the About card

In the About this project card, click the Edit link in the top-right of the card.

  3. 3
    Update the text and save

Edit the description (up to 2,000 characters), then click Save. A confirmation appears and the card refreshes with your new copy.

The Edit button on the About card is available on projects you created or imported. Marketplace projects keep the homeowner's original description.

Photos, location, and schedule

  • Photos — add job-site photos from your camera or library; they're compressed automatically on upload. Hover a photo to remove it.
  • Location — when an address is set, a map of the job site appears on the Details tab.
  • Schedule — set or change the start and end dates so the job shows up on your calendar.

Editing is available on projects you created or imported. Projects that came from a marketplace lead show the homeowner's description as they wrote it.

The About description is for your own workspace. Client-facing details live on the documents you send — quotes, contracts, and invoices.

Yes, the description can hold up to 2,000 characters — plenty for the full scope of work.
