Upload and organize documents in Homeezy
Upload files, create folders, and keep your contracts, invoices, and project files tidy on the Documents page.
How do I upload and organize files in Homeezy?
Open the Documents page, switch to the Files tab, and use Upload to add files or New folder to group them. Homeezy also gathers your contracts and invoices into their own tabs automatically, so everything lives in one place per business.
Understand the Documents tabs
Across the top of the Documents page you'll find four tabs:
- All — every contract and invoice in one combined list.
- Contracts — only your contracts.
- Invoices — only your invoices.
- Files — your uploaded files and folders, plus folders that Homeezy creates automatically for each project.
Upload a file
- 1Go to the Files tab
Open Documents and click the Files tab.
- 2Click Upload
Press the Upload button. You can also reach it from the Add New menu on the All tab — choose Upload and it jumps you to Files.
- 3Pick your files
Select the documents or photos from your device. On a phone you can choose the camera or your photo library.
- 4Confirm
Your files appear under Recently added, ready to open, move, duplicate, download, or share.
Create and use folders
Click New folder on the Files tab, give it a name (for example Permits or Site photos), and create it. Your own folders show under My folders. To file an existing document, open its ⋮ menu and choose Move, then pick the destination folder.
Every project gets a Project folder created automatically. These appear under the Project folders group so a job's files stay attached to that project without any setup.
On a file's ⋮ menu you can Download, Duplicate, Move, or Delete — handy for reorganizing without re-uploading.
They're stored securely in your Homeezy workspace and shown on the Files tab of the Documents page. Files placed in a project folder also appear with that project.
Yes. The upload picker lets you choose the camera or your photo library on mobile, so you can snap a site photo and add it on the spot.
My folders are ones you create yourself. Project folders are generated automatically for each project so its files stay grouped with the job.
Yes. Open the file's ⋮ menu, choose Move, and select a new folder (or All files to take it out of any folder).
