Export and print documents as PDF
Print or save quotes, contracts, and invoices as PDF. Open the public document link and use your browser's print dialog.
How do I export or print a document as a PDF?
Open the document's public link (copy it from the ⋮ menu on the Documents page, or send it to yourself) and use your browser's print dialog. From there you can Print on paper or choose Save as PDF as the destination. The public page shows a clean, branded copy ready for printing.
Save a document as PDF
- 1Get the public link
On Documents, open the ⋮ menu on the quote, contract, or invoice and choose Copy link. (If you haven't shared it yet, send it once to generate the link.)
- 2Open the link in a browser
Paste the link into your address bar. It opens the document's public, read-only view.
- 3Open the print dialog
Use your browser's print command (
Ctrl + Pon Windows,⌘ + Pon Mac). - 4Choose Save as PDF
In the print dialog, set the destination to Save as PDF and save the file. To print on paper instead, pick your printer.
On iPhone or iPad, the document opens in a new tab so you can use Safari's share sheet to save or print the PDF reliably.
Make exports look professional
Your business logo and details appear on exported documents. Set them up in Settings → My business (logo and business name) and the Documents tab (invoice numbering, payment terms, tax numbers, and footer text) so every PDF you share looks consistent and on-brand.
Exporting happens from the document's public link in your browser: open it, then use your browser's print dialog and choose Save as PDF. The same view is what your client sees.
You need the public link, which is generated when you first send the document. After that you can copy the link any time and print or save as PDF without sending again.
Yes, if you've added them in Settings → My business and the Documents tab. They appear on the public view and therefore on the printed or saved PDF.
Open an uploaded file's preview from the Files tab and download it, then print or save it with your device's normal tools.
