How to create a contract in Homeezy
Upload your own contract PDF or have Homeezy generate one, attach it to a project, and get it ready to sign.
How do I create a contract in Homeezy?
Open Documents and select New contract, or create one from a project's Documents tab. Give it a title, choose an existing project or start a new one, and either upload your own signed-ready PDF or let Homeezy generate a contract from the project details. Once created, it's attached to the project and ready to send for signature.
Two ways to create a contract
- Upload a PDF — bring your own contract. On the New contract page, add a title, attach a PDF, and pick the project it belongs to.
- Generate one — from the project's Documents tab, Homeezy can build a contract from a scope, total, payment schedule, warranty, and special conditions — with AI help if you want it.
- 1Start a new contract
Go to Documents and select New contract.
- 2Title and file
Enter a clear title (e.g. "Bathroom renovation contract") and optionally choose a PDF to upload.
- 3Pick the project
Choose an existing project or select New project to create one — you can invite the client to it later.
- 4Create
Select Create contract. Homeezy saves it to the project's Documents tab, ready to send and sign.
Set up your terms of service once in Settings → Documents so generated contracts can include them automatically. See Add terms of service.
Yes — contracts live under a project so all the related quotes, invoices, and files stay together. You can create a brand-new project right from the contract form if needed.
The New contract page accepts a PDF. If you only have a Word document, export it to PDF first, or use the generate option to build a contract inside Homeezy.
