Answers to the most common Homeezy Pro billing questions: receipts, taxes, the subscription vs. getting paid, and how to reach billing support.

What do contractors ask most about billing?

The two questions that come up most are: "what's the difference between my subscription and getting paid by clients?" and "where do I find my receipts?" Your subscription is the $199/month you pay Homeezy. Getting paid is Stripe Connect, where client invoice payments flow into your own bank account. Receipts for your subscription live in the Stripe billing portal.

Subscription vs. getting paid

  • Homeezy Pro subscription — $199/month you pay Homeezy. Managed under Settings → Billing → Manage subscription.
  • Stripe Connect payouts — how your clients pay you for invoices. The money is yours and lands in your connected bank account. Managed under Settings → Billing → Payments / Open dashboard.

Quick rule of thumb: if it's money leaving your account, it's the subscription. If it's money coming in from a client, it's Stripe Connect.

Common billing questions

Open Settings → Billing → Manage subscription. The Stripe billing portal lists every past subscription invoice with a downloadable receipt.

Applicable sales tax may be added at checkout based on your location. The exact total, including any tax, is shown before you confirm in Stripe.

Trials convert to a paid subscription automatically when they end. If you didn't intend to continue, cancel before the trial ends. If you believe you were charged in error, contact billing support right away.

That's a Stripe Connect setting, not a subscription one. Open Settings → Billing → Payments and use Open dashboard to update your payout bank account in Stripe.
