How does AI quote drafting work in Homeezy?
Inside the quote builder, open Draft a quote with AI. Describe the job — by voice memo, by structured fields, with photos, or all three — and Homeezy generates suggested line items with quantities and prices in about 10 to 30 seconds. Nothing is saved until you review the suggestions and choose which lines to add.
Two ways to describe the job
- Voice — tap the microphone and walk through the job out loud (size, finish level, materials, time). Homeezy transcribes it, then drafts from your words. The audio is discarded after transcription.
- Structured — pick a job type and finish level, add size/scale and estimated time, and write a free-text description of the work.
- Photos — add up to a handful of job-site photos in either mode to help the estimate. Photos are deleted 24 hours after upload.

From the quote builder, select Draft a quote with AI.
- 2Describe the job
Use Voice or Structured mode, optionally attach photos, and (if you want) override the markup for this draft only.
- 3Generate
Select Generate and wait for the draft. You'll see suggested line items appear in a preview.
- 4Review and add
Edit, deselect, or keep each suggested line, then add them to your quote. Adjust prices and markup anytime — the AI draft is a starting point, not the final word.
Always review AI-generated line items before sending. Prices are estimates based on your description — confirm quantities, costs, and your margin match the real job.
No. Generated items are not saved until you review them and add them to the quote. You stay in control of what ends up on the document.
Yes. Open the markup override field before generating to apply a one-off percentage to this draft. Leave it blank to use your default markup.
There's a daily limit per account to keep the feature fair and fast. If you hit it, you'll see a message — try again the next day or build the lines manually.
Voice audio is transcribed and then discarded. Photos used for drafting are deleted 24 hours after upload.
