Already have ongoing jobs? Use the import project wizard to add a project and its client at once, attaching contracts and quotes if you have them.
How do I bring my existing clients and jobs into Homeezy?
Homeezy's import wizard lets you add an existing job and its client together. From Projects, start an import: enter the project details, choose an existing client or create a new one, mark whether the job is not started or already ongoing, and optionally attach the contract and quote you already have. The client is saved to your contacts as part of the same flow.
Step by step
- 1Open the import wizard
Go to Import a project (from the Projects page).
- 2Add the project details
Enter the project name and service, set the job address, add details, and optionally a schedule.
- 3Choose or create the client
Pick an existing contact, or create a new one with a name and email. You can also skip the client for now.
- 4Set the status and attach files
Mark the job as not started or ongoing. For ongoing jobs you can upload the existing contract and quote (PDF).
- 5Finish
Submit to create the project and save the client. You land on the new project's page.
Creating a new client during import adds them to your Contacts. Use a consistent email so the same person never duplicates across imports.
To add a person on their own, use Add new on the Contacts page. The import wizard is built to bring in a job and its client together.
No. Contacts are matched by email, so an imported client that already exists is reused rather than duplicated.
For ongoing imports you can attach the existing contract and quote as PDF files, so the job's paperwork lives in Homeezy from day one.
